Erik McDuffie Awarded National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Council of Learned Societies Fellowships

Erik McDuffie, Brown Prize winner in 2011 has won two fellowships for his book project Garveyism in the Diasporic Midwest: The American Heartland and Global Black Freedom, 1920-1980: from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Council of Learned Societies. McDuffie is Associate Professor of African American Studies and History at the University of Illinois-Champagne Urbana emcduffi@illinois.edu
