ABWH salutes Dr. Aura Wharton-Beck, ABWH Life Member, who was awarded the 2017 Sapientia Award for Scholarly Work Focused on Women by the University of St. Thomas-Minnesota. 

This award is given to a member of the St. Thomas community for an outstanding piece of work that has as its subject and/or focus a woman or women, or a concern related to women, and that seeks to empower women.  The award is co-sponsored with the Women’s Studies Department, the Luann Dummer Center for Women and the University Advocates for Women and Equity.   The award was presented at a spring reception on Tuesday, April 11.
